Horse carriage ride / sleigh ride
The leisurely snorting horses pull the carriage to our guesthouse. There you’ll find a lot of local delicacies and a hot “Jägertee” (hot black tea with rum)waiting for you at the warm oven! Especially in our winter fairytale landscape, the horse-drawn sleigh ride is an unforgettable adventure. The ride takes approx. 3. 5 hours, including 1. 5 hours of stay. Hiking & ski tours in Filzmoos
Filzmoos is THE mountain village for hikers with the Hofalmarea as its heart. After a hike to the “Almrosenblüten” (alpine roses bloom) in late spring or on hot summer days, after a hiking trip on a clear autumn day but also after a ski tour in the crystal clear winter, the Oberhofalm is the refreshing destination and guarantees a rounded end to the day.
The Hofalm Nature and Hiking Trail is just right for pleasure hikers and families. You start in Filzmoos and after about an hour’s easy ascent you recover yourself with a “Brettljause” or a “Kaiserschmarrn” before you start the circular path to the Almsee. Don’t forget to drink from the sea-eye spring, which is said to have special powers.
Filzmoos, with its via ferrata, theme trails and mountain tours, is also the Eldorado for sporty and ambitious hikers. On the website of the tourism association you will find countless hiking tours with detailed descriptions, information about the hiking bus and many other information and tips for hikers.
Almsee
Not far away from our Oberhofalm lies the famous Filzmooser Almsee. Special powers are attributed to this place. Here you can feel the pulse of nature and many people dare to make a bond for life in this special place. Lie down on the blooming alpine meadow and listen to the water, the wind and the song of the birds. Everyone can switch off here and recharge their batteries.
Horseback riding
A horseback ride is only complete when you ride with a sure-footed horse through a graceful landscape and have a beautiful destination in front of you where you can strengthen yourself. Filzmoose riding companies have recognised this and therefore offer guided horsebackrides to the Oberhofalm with their mountain experienced horses.
